This is an event, as a club we need to support ! Tri County came up here in force to our Ernest McCarty Show, and we need to return the favor going to this show. I have seen the top 50 car plaques that they are getting made and they look great, and besides - how cool would it be to have a "possum festival" plaque to go with your mustang - how much more "southern" can you get with a plaque like that. details are below:

2nd Annual Possum Day Festival Open Car Show
Millbrook, Alabama
Hosted by Tri-County Mustang Club at The Village Green Park. Event hours are 8 to 3 with check-in running 8 to 11. Registration fee is $25 (pre-registration $20 before September 12, 2009). Show sponsored by the Millbrook Community Players. Cars of all years, makes, and models welcome. Classics, Antiques, Late Models, Hot Rods,& Trucks. Plaques awarded for the Top 50. Best of Show Awards. Special Certificates also given. Door Prizes--50/50 Drawing. I usually can stream the game to my cell phone so I kinda peek at it some when we have events that coincide with game days. It's certainly no big screen, but it's not bad to watch at all that way. Also, many of the events we do during that time frame are at places that have the game on anyhow (Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, Papa Saia's, etc...)

We are looking forward to having a great time at the Possum Festival. We have added a silent auction to go along with our unique bidding system with tickets which is a combo 50/50 deal. We will also have hot dogs, chips, and drinks available at the show.

And just for the record if anyone is interested, there will be possums on the award plaques to go with the theme.

Hoping to have a big turnout from all our friends at the Southern Stangs.

Tks

Rain chance yesterday was 40% ....today at 50%. Not looking good....however not sure what the chance of rain was this past Saturday for the car show in Montomgery, but we made it down and back with only a few minute sprinkle right before we left Montgomery!
