Hey guys!

I am John Farmer, one of the event coordinators for the Tupelo Cruise. Yes MCM is planning to attend and they have a thread on their forum that can be found at the link below (although you have to be a registered member of their site to view it).

http://forums.magiccitym...showtopic=2063&st=0

If anyone is interested in coming let me know. I am happy to help anyway I can.

Thanks!

I am planning on going to this event (If not raining) I have downloaded the form and will send in the registration. I hope some other Southern Stang folks will cruise with me. I plan to leave in time to be there at 10 AM on March 13th. Post up if you want to cruise with me.

I'm in Buck, do you think we may need to leave earlier? How long does it take to get there?

I'd be interested in going if I get my car finished up. I just started a new little side project so I'm not sure if I will be able to get it back together by then but I'm sure going to try.

Got a note that some of the Magic City Folks will depart from the Flying J truck stop at 7:30 AM. The location is I-65 exit for 41st street. Think thats the new cut off to get to I-22 (78). Some are meeting at 7AM for Breakfast. I think we should meet up down this way and cruise to the Flying J to drive along with them.

Sounds like a plan. If I don't get my car back together by then I can just borrow Lori's car and take it, so I'm going to try to make plans to do this event. She probably wouldn't mind me taking it if I had to.

Ray would mind if several of the Southern Stang folks join us for the drive to Tupelo?[/QUOTE]

I think that would be FANTASTIC!!!! It would be very cool to see 30 to 50 Mustangs convoying to Tupelo. They just need to monitor our web site. As time comes closer, we will have to put up some cruise rules as far as sa...

For those meeting up with MCM folks at the Flying J off I 65.

I asked permission to copy and print the following:

I am thinking that we are going to have a bunch of folks going with us. Many of us have traveled together before and know how to caravan and know what to expect. But we are going to have strangers with us on this trip and I thought this might be good to add. Most of this can be found on Mustangs Across America's Page. Pretty much all common sense but it will be good to have a reminder of some courtesys we need to be aware of. If you want to add something feel free to.

1. Turn your lights on. It looks very sharp coming down the highway.

2. Maintain AT LEAST a 2 second gap from the car in front of you. One car length for every 10 mph we are driving. The more distance the better, just in case we have to make an emergency stop or Bambi tries to join the group.

3. If a car wants to join the group and get in line, let them in. Don't cut other travelers off.

4. As we approach exits, merge over to the left lane. When we get past the exit we'll move back to the right. There are not many exits on the route but this will help the flow.

5. If you have 2 way radios or walkie talkies, bring them with you. At the meeting before we leave we'll decide what channel we will be on.

6. No Racing - Enough said!

7. The BIGGIE -- NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!!! I don't care who you are, if I see it I am going to say something. This will not be tolerated at all and you will be asked to leave the group. Many of us have many hours and money invested in this hobby. We don't need a careless and uncalled for incident from someone driving under the influence. We are going to have a great time. Leave your alchol at home or wait until we arrive in Tupelo.

I am looking very much forward to this. We are going to have the chance to meet a bunch of new folks and see some great cars. If anyone thinks of anything else please add it to the shopping list!!!!

Would you please send me a email so we can get a head count as to who is going on the Tupelo Cruise. Departing from the Flying J truck stop at 7:30 AM and don't want to leave anyone.

Real race cars lift the front tires, Not try to put power to them.

More than 1 and less than 1000. LOL J/K I have no clue. I;m going to guess at least 10 plus ya'll. So maybe 20? I really have no idea. That is all a guess.
